As usual, October of each year has many sales tax changes effective on the 1st. This October is no exception.
In Alaska, tax rates changed for Sitka, Skagway and Whittier.
In Alabama, tax rates changed for West Blocton and Fort Payne.
In Arkansas, tax rates changed for Eureka Springs, Plumerville, Pine Bluff, Blytheville, Greenland and Plainview.
In California, tax rates changed for the county of Los Angeles, Seaside, Lindsay and Corcoran; and the city of San Pablo. Measure H becomes effective 10/1/17.
In Kansas, tax rates changed for Lansing, Oswego and Pittsburg.
In Minnesota, tax rates changed for the counties of Carver, Wright, Hennepin and Ramsey, and Spicer, Proctor, New London, Moose Lake and Fairmont.
In Missouri, tax rates changed the counties of Cass, Cedar, Clinton, Dent, Howell, Iron, Lawrence, Livingston, Monroe, Saint Louis, Sainte Genevieve, Saline and Wright, and Blue Springs, Clinton, Cuba, Dover, Granby, Hayti, Higginsville, Holden, Kansas City, Kennett, Kirksville, La Grange, Lexington, Liberty, Miller, Moline Acres, Mountain Grove, North Kansas City, Ozark, Perry, Rock Port, Saint Louis, Trenton, Waverly, and Webb City.
In North Dakota, tax rates changed for Casselton.
In Nebraska, tax rates changed for Lawrence and Shelton.
In Ohio, tax rates changed for the county of Hocking.
In Oklahoma, tax rates changed for the counties of Major, Blaine, Pontotoc and Tillman, and Erick, Geary, Westport and Kingfisher.
In Texas, tax rates changed for Grandfalls, Newark, Campbell, Estelline, Mart, East Bernard, Lavon, McLean, Midland, Odem, Palm Valley, Pleak, Rockspings, Ropesville, Scurry, Stockdale, Sunray, Trent, Venus and the county of Armstrong.
In Utah, tax rates changed for Emery County.
In Wyoming, tax rates changed for the counties of Laramie and Teton.
There were 36 states with ZIP code changes effective after September 2017 including Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin, and West Virginia.
