Hurricane Sandy construction sales tax exemptionsA limited number of New York City small businesses affected by Hurricane Sandy may apply for up to $100,000 in sales tax exemptions on the purchase of building construction materials, equipment and services to aid in their rebuilding.

The Hurricane Emergency Assistance Sales Tax Exemption Program is limiting the quantity of applications to 250 and will accept them until Feb. 1, 2013. Go to www.nycedc.com for more information.
